Our Story

The Persnickety Painters was founded on a passion for meticulous craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. Based in Manchester, NH, we have grown from a small local business to a trusted name in painting services across the region. Our team of skilled professionals is dedicated to transforming homes and businesses with our expert painting solutions.

David Miller

David learned to paint professionally in the 90's when he put himself through college night classes working for a small painting company out of Salem, NH called Painting for Perfection.  Not only did he learn about the importance of alliteration, he learned the skills and techniques necessary to produce consistently top quality work.

After a half dozen years of 40 foot ladders and calloused knees, he figured he should put his college work to use. While the dozen years spent at Fidelity, Charles Schwab and TD Ameritade were educational, David ultimately decided that it just wasn't for him. He returned to doing what he actually ENJOYED doing every day in 2011.  And in 2022, The Persnickety Painter became The Persnickety Painters. 

David's ridiculously supportive family is his literal heart and soul.  And while the work/life balance battle rages on, he is confident in having it figured out by the time his kids retire. 

Jonathan Lundgren

Since 2010, Jon and David have built a strong friendship that blossomed into a thriving partnership. What began in 2020 as a simple request for assistance on a major project has evolved into a collaborative journey marked by creativity and dedication.

Jon, with his friendly demeanor and passion for bold colors, has become the go-to liaison for homeowners seeking the perfect shade for their walls. His expertise in color selection ensures that every project reflects the unique personality of each client. With a steady hand and an artist's eye, Jon delivers razor-sharp lines and eye-catching finishes that elevate every space.

(And yes, those are googly eyes on a sander - one of Jon's many personal touches)

Karen Brungot

What began as a brief interaction on social media has turned into a years-long collaboration. In 2022, Karen brought her decades of painting experience to The Persnickety Painters.

She is truly passionate about the painting process and loves what she does. It's not unusual for Karen to have already put in several hours of work by the time we arrive at an unoccupied house at eight. Her ability to transform worn or damaged baseboards and trim into stunning showpieces is astonishing. Her insights and experience with other painting companies over the years has been invaluable. She is truly passionate about delivering quality results. 

This is more than just a job for Karen. It is her passion.  Her other passion are her grandkids, with whom she spends as much time as possible.
